Audi Vehicle Identification Number VIN Location
Locating Audi Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is very easy. Audi VIN in printed on your registration plus several places on the car. It can also be retrieved via the Multi Media Interface (MMI) as shown in the video below.
The following instruction will help you find Audi VIN on various models including A1 A3 A4 A5 A6 A7 Q3 Q5 Q7 TT.
The easiest place where you can find Audi VIN number is the left lower corner of the windshield. Even though the VIN is printed on a metal plate on the dashboard it can be seen through the glass.
Driver's Door Jamb
Open the driver's door and look for the sticker that has your AUDI VIN. This sticker will also have the production date of your Audi. The production date is usually a two digit month and two digit year. For example 05/17
Front Strut Tower
Audi VIN number is also found on the front strut tower. Typically on the passenger side. In the picture above you can see the VIN engraved on the metal.
Check Audi VIN via MMI
You can find your Audi vin on the Multi Media Interface as well.
Follow these directions to pull up the VIN number.
- Turn on ignition.
- Press CAR on the MMI buttons.
- Scroll to the bottom until you see VIN Check
- Select OK to display Audi VIN number.
Note that Audi VIN number may be engraved in other locations including trunk area or under the seats. You can also find Audi VIN number on your registration or vehicle title.
