Learn how to replace the front turn signal light bulb on Mazda 5 made from 2010 through 2018. The instructions are the same for both driver's and passenger's side turn signal light bulb. The turn signal may also be referred to as the blinker.
What you will need
- 1157NA Turn Signal Bulb
- The light bulb type on Mazda 5 is 1157NA bulb.
- 27watt/8 watt.
Park your Mazda 5 on level ground. Turn off the engine, move the shifter to Park and get ready to change the front turn signal light bulb on your Mazda 5.
Open the hood by pulling the hood release under the dashboard.
Determine the location of the bulb that has burned out.
Access turn signal socket
Access the back of the Mazda5 headlight. In some cases, it may be easier to remove the headlight but for Mazda 5 it is not necessary.
Remove turn signal socket
Remove the socket by turning it counter clockwise.
Replace the light bulb.
Install new bulb
Reinstall the turn signal socket into the headlight assembly of your Mazda
If the front turn signal doesn't work after you install a new bulb, check the fuses.
The fuse for front turn signal lights is located in the engine compartment fuse box. Check the 10A fuse market as HAZARD. Fuse position is 24.
