Procedure

  1. Open the hood by pulling the hood release under the dashboard. Go to the front, unlock the hood latch and pull the hood up.Sliding the tab to unlock the hood latch.

     

  2. Locate the low beam light behind the headlight assembly.The Low Beam Light of the Toyota Camry.

     

  3. Disconnect the electrical connector of the low beam light by pressing the clip and pulling it out.Disconnecting the low beam light connector.

     

  4. Twist the low beam light bulb counterclockwise.Twisting the low beam light bulb.

     

  5. Pull out the light bulb from the headlight assembly.Removing the low beam light bulb.

     

  6. Get the new light bulb ready.The new low beam light bulb.

     

  7. Insert it into the headlight assembly, then twist it clockwise to lock it in its place.Putting the new low beam light bulb to the headlight assembly.

     

  8. Reconnect the connector by pushing it back onto the light bulb.Reconnecting the electrical connector of the Toyota Camry.

     

  9. Check the low beam light by switching it on.Checking the new low beam light.

     

Notes

  • Do not touch light bulbs with bare hands as that can shorten the life of the light bulb. 
  • Installing LED bulbs:
    • If you are upgrading to LED light bulbs, and the bulb doesn't turn on when you install it simply remove the LED bulb and rotate it 180 degrees and reinstall it. 
    • Certain vehicles may trigger a fault message stating faulty or burned light bulb when the original bulb has been upgraded to LED. If that is the case, use halogen bulb or get an Error Free LED bulb
