How to change Hyundai Key Fob Battery

Instructions on how to replace the key fob (keyless) remote battery on Hyundai Elantra, Azera, Sonata, Genesis, Accent, Equus, Santa Fe, Sedona, Tucson, Veloster. 

Watch how to change the battery on this Hyundai remote. Note that you will need a CR2032 replacement battery for this remote. This is the three button keyfob used on models such as Hyundai Elantra, Sonata etc. 

  1. Use a flat head screwdriver to pry open the case.
  2. Slide out the old battery.
  3. Insert the new battery making sure the positive (+) side of the battery is oriented the same way. 
  4. Close the key fob housing.
