Ford 2.5L Engine Camshaft Position Actuator Replacement

What you will need

• Ford Fusion Camshaft Position Actuator
• Mechanic Tools
  • 8mm socket

Procedure

1. Remove the valve cover. If you need help with this step, follow these procedures for the removal process of the valve cover.

    

2. Remove the 8mm bolt on the camshaft position actuator. Use an 8mm socket and twist it counterclockwise to remove.

    

3. Pull the camshaft position actuator up and out.

    

   
4. Line up the new camshaft position actuator.

    

5. Reinstall the 8mm bolt and twist it clockwise to tighten.

    

6. Reinstall the valve cover. If you need help with this step, follow these procedures for the installation process of the valve cover.
