Kia Hyundai P0107 P0113 Codes Intake Air Temperature Sensor

What you will need

• Air Intake Temperature Sensor 
• Mechanic Metric Toolset
  • 10mm Socket
  • Ratchet wrench
• OBD-II Scanner

Procedure

1. Connect the OBD-II Scanner into the OBD-II port located below the dashboard.
2. Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to the accessories ON position.

    

3. Go to the diagnostic menu on the scanner.

    

4. Select read codes and check the stored codes.

    

5. The scanner will show faulty code P0107 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Low and P0113 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High.

    

   
6. Open the hood. Pull the hood release under the dashboard and unlock the hood latch on the vehicle's front. Then pull the hood up and secure it open.

    

7. Locate the intake air temperature sensor on the right side of the engine's intake manifold.

    

8. Disconnect the electrical connector of the air temperature sensor by pressing the clip and pulling the connector out.
9. Remove the 10mm bolt on the sensor by turning it counterclockwise using a 10mm socket.
10. Pull the sensor out from the vehicle.
11. Line up the new intake air temperature sensor and press it in to set it into place.
12. Reinstall the 10mm bolt and reconnect the electrical connector of the intake air temperature sensor.
13. Go back inside the vehicle and erase the stored codes on the scanner.
14. Reconnect the OBD-II scanner and clear the fault codes.
