  1. Open the engine hood. Go to the driver's seat and pull the hood release below the dashboard.Locating the hood latch of the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class.Then unlock the hood latch in front of the vehicle and pull the hood up. Opened hood of the Mercedes-Benz SL Class R230.

  3. Use a clean cloth to clean the top and sides of the brake fluid reservoir.

  5. Add brake fluid. Open the black cap by turning it counterclockwise. Then pour in the brake fluid. Use the brake fluid recommended by the vehicle's manufacturer.
