Procedure

  1. Pull the hood release under the dashboard and open the hood.

  3. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Loosen the nut and remove the cable.disconnect mitsubishi outlander negative battery terminal

  5. Remove the battery bracket. Loosen the nut for the battery bracket. Move the bracket away from the battery.Mitsubishi outlander battery bracket
  6. Remove the old battery. outalnder battery removal
  7. Install the new battery. Reinstall the battery bracket.
  8. Connect the positive battery terminal.
  9. Connect the negative battery terminal last.
  10. Apply battery protector to the battery terminals.
