C3 Automotive’s journey started with passion and talent. The shop owner, Eric, graduated from Universal Technical School in California. He was passionate about breaking the vehicles down and reassembling them.

His first role was as a porter at a Honda dealership, where he spent six months learning the ropes. He quickly transitioned to a lube technician position, but after eight months, Eric realized that the tasks assigned to him didn’t align with his growing skill set. He felt that his knowledge was advancing beyond the basic tasks he was given, and he sought more opportunities to expand his expertise.

Eric then worked for a few months at Kia but once again found himself in a similar situation, observing cars and basic terms but unable to fully utilize or express his skills. Despite this, Eric’s passion for the automotive field remained strong.

It was during a visit to his entrepreneurial uncle that Eric’s path took a significant turn. Noticing his nephew’s passion and natural talent for taking automotive parts apart and reassembling them with precision, his uncle saw an opportunity. Recognizing Eric’s potential, he invested in his vision and helped him open their shop.

Thus, C3 Automotive was born—a name inspired by their family’s last name, starting with the letter “C,” and a nod to the three key individuals involved in the venture: Eric, his brother, and their uncle.

Today, Eric’s advice to anyone considering starting their own business is clear: don’t look back. Take the leap if you have a passion and talent for something and others recognize and encourage you to pursue it. Your dreams can become a reality with hard work, dedication, and the support of those who believe in you.
