Logistic mode, also called transport mode or shipping mode, is a factory setting used while the vehicle is being shipped from the factory to the dealer. It reduces battery drain and limits certain vehicle functions during transport, which can disable or restrict features like the radio and infotainment system, interior lights, power accessories, keyless entry, alarm, and some comfort functions. Normally the dealer takes the vehicle out of logistic mode during the pre-delivery inspection, but sometimes a vehicle slips through, or logistic mode gets re-activated after a battery disconnect, a dead battery, or a module replacement, leaving owners confused about why features suddenly don’t work.
