Jeep Renegade Wiper Blade Replacement Front and Rear (2015-2023)

About this video

An ASE certified mechanic replaces both front wiper blades and the rear hatch wiper blade on a 2015-2023 Jeep Renegade (first generation BU, including the 2019 facelift). The rear blade is the one most people get wrong, so we show the release tab and the correct angle so nothing snaps.

SYMPTOMS YOU MAY NOTICE Streaking, smearing, or a hazy film left behind on the glass Chattering, skipping, or squeaking wipers across the windshield Blades that only clear part of the glass or leave a strip in your line of sight Torn, cracked, split, or hardened rubber, or metal showing on the blade edge Rear wiper leaving a wide unswept band on the hatch glass Scratching sound, which usually means the rubber is gone and the frame is touching glass Ice buildup in the blade frame in winter causing poor contact

WHAT WE COVER Correct wiper sizes for the driver side, passenger side, and rear hatch Lifting the wiper arms safely without them snapping back onto the windshield Removing the old blade at the hook or pinch tab connector Installing the new blade and confirming it locks in Removing the rear wiper cover and blade on the hatch Service position for the wipers if the arms will not lift far enough Cleaning the glass and blades so new wipers do not streak right away

The Jeep Renegade shares its platform with the Fiat 500X, so the procedure is nearly identical on the 500X. The same technique applies to the Jeep Compass, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, and Wrangler, and to hatchbacks and SUVs from Honda, Toyota, Ford, Chevy, Nissan, Subaru, Volkswagen, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz that use the same hook or pinch tab wiper connectors.

Popular searches this video answers: how to change wiper blades, rear wiper blade replacement, wiper blade size Jeep Renegade, wipers streaking after replacement, how to remove wiper blade, rear wiper not cleaning, wiper arm service position.
