Important
- USB passthrough support varies by emulator. Some features that rely on direct USB hardware access might work only on a real Android device.
- If the app offers a network option to talk to your instrument, configure the IP in the app settings and connect over the same network.
Troubleshooting
The APK will not install
- Confirm your device runs Android 7.0 or newer.
- Enable Install unknown apps for your browser or file manager, then retry.
- Re download the APK to avoid a partial file.
The app cannot see the device
- Use a good quality USB Type C cable for data, not charge only.
- Power on the device before opening the app. If it has a power lock or switch, set it to On.
- Unplug and reconnect the cable, then reopen the app.
- Test on a different USB port or a different Android device to isolate the issue.
The emulator does not detect USB hardware
- Check if your emulator supports USB device redirection. If not, use a physical Android device.
- For Android Studio, search for third party USB redirection tools if needed. Success depends on the specific hardware and drivers.
