OS200 Application APK setup guide

This page shows how to download and install the OS200 application on an Android tablet or phone, and how to run the APK on a Windows PC using an Android environment.

Install on Android

  1. On your Android device, open Chrome or your preferred browser and download the APK from the button above.
  2. When the download finishes, tap the file in the notification or open it from Files or Downloads.
  3. If asked, allow installs from this source. You can enable it at
    Settings → Security → Install unknown apps then return to the file and continue.
  4. Tap Install then Open to launch the OS200 application.

First launch checklist

  • Grant requested permissions such as USB access and storage if prompted.
  • Connect your hardware if required by your workflow. For cable use, connect with USB Type C. If your setup uses external power, power on the unit first.
  • Inside the app, choose the correct channel or input as needed and confirm the device is detected.

For Android OS 14+

  • Make sure your device is in developer mode.
    • Go to Settings.
    • Select About Phone or About Tablet  and scroll to the bottom of the screen.
    • Tap on the Build number option at the very bottom of your screen about eight times. A pop-up will appear on your screen letting you know that you are in developer mode.
  • Activating the app
    • Stay in Settings, and go to Apps.
    • Select AVTO, then tap on the kebab (the three dots stacked on top of each other) and select Allow Restricted Settings.
    • Open the AVTO app. The first time you open the app, it will take you back into settings. Select AVTO, and make sure “Display over other apps” is turned on.

Troubleshooting

The APK will not install
  • Confirm your device runs Android 7.0 or newer.
  • Enable Install unknown apps for your browser or file manager, then retry.
  • Re download the APK to avoid a partial file.
The app cannot see the device
  • Use a good quality USB Type C cable for data, not charge only.
  • Power on the device before opening the app. If it has a power lock or switch, set it to On.
  • Unplug and reconnect the cable, then reopen the app.
  • Test on a different USB port or a different Android device to isolate the issue.
The emulator does not detect USB hardware
  • Check if your emulator supports USB device redirection. If not, use a physical Android device.
  • For Android Studio, search for third party USB redirection tools if needed. Success depends on the specific hardware and drivers.
