What Is Window and Door Initialization?
Window and Door Initialization resets power window calibration and door module settings. Many modern vehicles have auto-up/down functionality and anti-pinch protection that must be recalibrated after certain events.
When You Need It
- After battery disconnection (windows lose one-touch function)
- After window regulator or motor replacement
- After door control module replacement
- When auto-up/down stops working
- When the anti-pinch feature triggers incorrectly
Is My Vehicle Supported?
Window and door initialization is supported on many vehicles. Some vehicles can be recalibrated manually (hold the switch), while others require a scanner. Verify at coverage.youcanic.com or email support@youcanic.com with your VIN.
