The IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor measures incoming air temperature so the ECU can calculate air density — cold air is denser, requiring more fuel. The IAT is an NTC thermistor producing ~4.0V at -40F to ~0.5V at 250F. It may be standalone or integrated into the MAF sensor. DTCs: P0110-P0114.
Verify accuracy by comparing IAT to ECT readings after overnight cold soak — both should read near ambient temperature. A large discrepancy indicates one sensor is faulty.
