Procedures

  1. Locate the panel under the glove compartment on the front passenger side of the car.blower-assembly-location
  2. Loosen and remove three (3) T25 screws using a Torx screwdriver.loosen-screws1
  3. Pull the panel down and remove the electrical connection for the night light.Pull-panel-down remove-electrical-connector
  4. Bend down and pull out the panel.bend-pull-panel
  5. The blower motor housing is now visible; detach the blower’s electrical connection by pushing the connector’s tab using your fingers or using a thin flat-head screwdriver.   6. Detach the blower from the frame by removing five (5) screws using a Torx screwdriver with T-handle. Please look at the blower motor housing’s different perspectives to find the location of the screws.blower-motor-backview blower-motor-belly-view

  8. Take note of the orientation of the two big blind holes on the blower housing; these are oriented towards the driver side.blower-orientation
  9. Remove the screws that attach the blower resistor module to the blower motor housing using a T20 screwdriver.remove-screw-from-module detach-module-from-housing
  10. Push wires out of the way, move the blower resistor module up and down while pulling it towards you in a diagonal direction until the lock release.remove-module
  11. Disconnect blower wires from the blower resistor module by pulling the connector while pressing the tab (lock).remove-module-connector
  12. Prepare the new blower motor.
  13. Connect the blower resistor module to the new blower motor assembly. Be sure to push the module until it sits on the lock at the bottom side of the blower housing.reinstall-module blower-locked
