To remove vehicle make software and free up space:

Open the Diagnostic tab
Press and hold on any vehicle make until small X icons appear
Tap the X on the makes you want to remove
Next, open the Updates app and select Ignore Updates
Make sure the removed makes are checked so they do not re-download
Go back to the main updates page and run all remaining updates
