Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the OBD-II port: Make sure the connector is fully seated in the vehicle’s OBD-II port, usually located under the dashboard on the driver’s side
- Turn the ignition on: The key should be in the ON position or the vehicle should be running
- Try again: Back out and re-select your vehicle make, model, and year
- Check for bent pins: Inspect both the scanner connector and the vehicle’s OBD-II port for bent or damaged pins
