Procedure
- First, locate which door is signaling that it is ajar on the dash.
- Find the door jamb switch located around the middle of the door jamb.
- Remove the Phillips head screw from the top of the switch.
- Pull the switch out of the door jamb.
- Pull the wiring out so the connector is exposed outside the door jamb.
- Disconnect the electrical connector by pressing the tab on the back and pulling it out. Be careful not to lose the wiring in the door jamb, or you must remove the trim inside the vehicle and push it back through.
- Reinstall a new door jamb switch and reverse the removal procedure.
- Ensure the new switch works; the door warning light should go away with the door closed; you are all done!
