The MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor measures intake manifold pressure for engine load calculation. At idle (high vacuum) it reads 1.0-1.5V; at WOT it reads 4.0-4.5V. Some engines use MAP instead of MAF (speed-density systems); others use both. At KOEO, MAP reads atmospheric pressure (~4.5V at sea level) — a quick diagnostic check.
DTCs: P0105-P0109 (Circuit), P0106 (Range/Performance — often a cracked vacuum hose). Check the vacuum hose connection first — a split or disconnected hose is the most common and cheapest fix.
