Are UCAN scanner software updates free?

Yes. All software and vehicle coverage updates for the UCAN scanner are free! While we can not provide updates forever, we plan to support this product update for about five years, so our latest scanner, the UCAN-II-D, will continue to recieve updates until 2031. The scanner will continue to work on existing models even without new vehicle model updates. There are no annual fees, no subscription charges, and no hidden costs.

What Updates Include

• New vehicle coverage: Support for new car models and years as they are released
• New features: Additional diagnostic functions, service resets, and capabilities
• Bug fixes: Performance improvements and issue corrections
• AI improvements: Enhanced AI diagnostic analysis and code explanations
