Lift the wiper blade. Move the wiper blade up. Be careful and do not let the arm fall on the glass, as this can break the windshield.
The wiper blade of your Mazda 5 is locked in place by a small clip. Press on the clip and remove the wiper blade from the wiper arm.
Turn the wiper blade to remove it from the U-bracket. Align the new wiper blade with the wiper arm. Push the wiper blade in until you hear it lock in place. Once the wiper blade has locked, slowly lower the wiper arm onto the windshield.
