  • Prying tool
  • 10mm socket wrench
  • Screwdriver or pick tool
  • Side mirror Kia Optima

Procedure

  1. Unlock the vehicle and open the driver’s door.
  2. Remove the cover of the side mirror above the door panel and pry out the edges of the cover to unlock the tabs holding the cover.Prying out the side mirror cover.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector, use a screwdriver or pick tool to unlock the clip.Disconnecting the electrical connector of the side mirror.
  4. Remove the three 10mm bolts connected to the side mirror.Removing the bolts holding the side mirror.
  5. Hold the side mirror on the other hand and unscrew the clip holding the side mirror.Removing the clip holding the side mirror.
  6. Remove the side mirror away from the door.Removing the side mirror of the 2016-2020 Kia Optima.
  7. Line up the new side mirror to the door and push it in to lock the clip back to the door.Installing the new side mirror of the 2016-2020 Kia Optima.
  8. Reconnect the electrical connector.Reconnecting the electrical connector back to the door panel.
  9. Reinstall the three 10mm bolts.Reinstalling the bolts back to the side mirror.
  10. Line up the cover back to the door and push it in to lock the tabs.Reinstalling the cover of the side mirror.
    The new side mirror of the 2016-2020 Kia Optima.
