Learn how to replace the side marker light bulb on the Hyundai Elantra model years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016.

What you will need

  • T10 Light Bulb
  • 10mm wrench

Procedure

  1. Open the trunk by pulling the trunk release inside the cabin. 
  2. Remove the rear tail light assembly. Remove-rear-tail lightOpen the rear service cover. You will notice three 10 mm bolts. Remove all the bolts.
    Disconnect the electrical wire connector. Pull out the tail light assembly.
  3. Change the side marker light bulb. Twist the side marker socket counterclockwise to remove it from the headlight assembly.Change-side-marker-light Pull out the light bulb. Install the new light bulb.Pull-the-light-bulb Reinstall the socket into the brake light assembly. Line up the three tabs with the slots found on the tail light assembly. Insert the side marker socket and twist it.
  4. Reinstall the tail light assembly. Tighten the three 10 mm bolts. Close the service cover. Make sure to reconnect the electrical wire before you close the service cover.
