Look up fuse designation and location on Kia Optima. If your radio, windows, and cigarette outlet is not working, the problem can be a blown fuse.  Kia Optima has fuses in several locations, including under the dashboard and engine bay.

  • Check the appropriate fuse if your vehicle’s lights, accessories, controls, radio, or cigarette outlets have stopped working. A blown fuse will have the element inside melt.
  • Always replace a blown fuse with the same rating fuse. If the new fuse blows again, there is an electrical problem. Do not install a higher-rated fuse. Installing a higher-rated fuse could cause damage and possibly even fire.
  • Always turn the ignition OFF when you are replacing fuses.

Fuses blow for a reason which is usually due to circuit overload. You will need to troubleshoot the issue if the replaced fuse blows again. For more help, see our guide on reading and diagnosing vehicle problems.

    I am looking for the same thing on a 2011 Optima. I think I’m going to try the fuse Module 7, it says head lamp lh/rh but I’m not sure if that’s it.
