The FOXWELL NT624 is a versatile scanning tool for various car brands; It can scan all selected modules and monitor different car parameters for precise troubleshooting. This article will guide you on how to use this scanner on selected functions.

This article will demonstrate how to use a Foxwell NT624 to scan and clear all stored fault codes in all modules, scan and clear codes on a specific module, and monitor performance using live data.

How to use Foxwell NT624 Elite

  1. Turn the ignition on.
  2. Choose  Auto Vin, then press OK.choose-autovinFrom the Automatic VIN acquisition menu, choose Automatic VIN acquisition.choose-auto-vin-acq
  3. VIN information will be displayed; press F3 if the VIN is correct.
  4. The car information will be displayed; press F3 if the car information is correct.
  5. Choose Diagnosis and press OK.
  6. To check all the modules on the car, Select Quick Scan, then press OK. quick-scan
  7. All modules will be displayed on the list, along with an indicator if there is an error code or not. In addition, a counter for the modules will also be displayed.module-list
  8. Use arrow up and down to scroll through the list of modules to find modules with stored fault codes.scroll-tru-list
  9. To review the fault code, align the pointer to the module with fault and press OK. Please note that stored codes can be cleared, while the marked current codes should be fixed before they can be cleared.review-fault-codes
  10. On the Function menu, choose read codes. This will show you the list of codes for each module.read-codeslist-of-codes
  11. To clear the stored codes, select back.back
  12. Choose Clear Codes from the Function Menu. Then press ok.choose-clear-codes
  13. A confirmation prompt will be displayed; press F3 to confirm the clearing of codes.confirm
  14. If clearing codes is successful, a “Codes cleared” message would be displayed.codes-cleared
  15. Press back to return to the Quick Scan Menu.
  16. If there is a long list of modules with fault codes, and you want to clear all stored codes from all modules, you can press F1.  press-f1
  17. In the confirmation prompt, press F3 to confirm.

Diagnose Transmission Module

In this example, we are going to scan a transmission module.

  1. Choose control modules, then press OK.
  2. Choose Drive and press OK.
  3. Choose Transmission and press OK.
  4. Choose Read Codes and press OK.
  5. If stored fault codes are listed, press return.
  6. Choose Clear codes to clear them and press OK.
  7. A confirmation prompt will be displayed; press F3 to confirm the clearing of codes.
  8. A “Codes cleared” message will be displayed if clearing codes is successful.

Procedures in monitoring module performance.

  1. Choose control modules, then press OK.
  2. Choose Drive and press OK.
  3. Choose Transmission and press OK.
  4. Choose Live Data
  5. Different submodules will be listed; you can choose any modules to monitor.
  6. We will choose the Gear change for this demonstration.
  7. You need to start the car, put on the parking brakes, and not let your foot off the brake pedal.
  8. Choose any gear, and you will see the actual gear value changing as you shift; you can also see the oil temperature and other parameters related to transmission.

Monitor ECU parameters and performance

  1. Choose control modules, then press OK.
  2. Choose Drive and press OK.
  3. Choose Motor electronics and press OK.
  4. Choose Read codes.
  5. Parameters with fault codes would be listed.
  6. Press back or return.
  7. Fix all current codes.
  8. Return to this menu and choose Clear Codes.

You may also choose Live data from the function menu to view all engine parameters and status.\
