The IBS (Intelligent Battery Sensor) mounts on the battery negative terminal, monitoring voltage, current, and temperature for intelligent charging strategy, start-stop management, and SOC/SOH calculations. Vehicles with IBS can vary alternator output dynamically — charging more during deceleration and less during acceleration to save fuel.

After battery replacement on IBS-equipped vehicles, Battery Registration (BRT) through the YOUCANIC UCAN-II is required to reset SOH and inform the system of new battery specifications.
