Ford Fusion Turn Signal & Wiper Switch Replacement DIY
Is the turn signal or wiper switch of your Ford Fusion not working? Learn how to fix the problem by replacing your Ford’s turn signal/wiper switch. This guide is a step-by-step procedure for removing and replacing the turn signal/wiper switch (also known as a combination switch) on a Ford Fusion 2013-2020.
What you will need
- T10 screwdriver
- Ford Fusion Combination Switch
Procedure
Remove the airbag and steering wheel. Click here to see the procedures for removing the airbag and steering wheel.
Remove the clock spring. Click here to see the procedures on how to remove the clock spring.
Remove the two T10 screws on the turn signal switch using a T10 screwdriver.
Pull the turn signal switch out of the vehicle.
Line up the new turn signal switch and push it in.
Reinstall the two T10 screws and tighten them by turning them clockwise.
Remove the two T10 screws on the wiper switch using a T10 screwdriver.
Pull the wiper switch out of the vehicle. Reinstall the T10 screw on the wiper switch.
Reinstall the steering wheel and airbag.
Airbag SRS Light On
If the Airbag Light is on after replacing the combination switch, you can use the YOUCANIC Full System Scanner to reset the airbag light. This scanner can also read and clear fault codes through every vehicle’s control module.
