Procedure

Adjust the window 6 inches high. This procedure will help remove the bolts that attach the glass to the window regulator.Setting the level of the window to 6 inches high.

Remove the door panel. If you need help with this step, follow these procedures for removing the door panel.


Remove the rubber covers on the inner door panel by pulling them out.The two rubber covers on the inner door panel.


Loosen the left 10mm bolt holding the window. Turn the bolt counterclockwise using a 10mm socket to loosen the bolt.Loosening the 10mm left bolt holding the window.


Remove the right 10mm bolt holding the window by turning it counterclockwise using a 10mm socket and ratchet. Removing the 10mm right bolt holding the window.

Slide the new window into the door. Then turn it into its proper position and push it down to set it into place.Installing the new window of the Kia Forte.Installing the new window of the Kia Forte.


Reinstall the right 10mm bolt holding the window by turning it clockwise using a 10mm socket.Reinstalling the bolt holding the window.


Tighten the left 10mm bolt holding the window. Turn the bolt clockwise using a 10mm socket to tighten the bolt.Reinstalling the bolt holding the window.


Line up the rubber covers back to the inner door panel and press them in to set them into place.Reinstalling the rubber covers on the inner door panel.Reinstalling the rubber covers on the inner door panel.
