What you will need

Procedure
- Park your Mazda 5 in a safe area. Set the parking brakes and move the shifter to Park.
- Keep the car unlocked. Press the button below the rear Mazda logo to open the trunk.

- Remove the two Philips screws next to the taillight assembly. These are the only screws holding the assembly in place.
- Pull the taillight back to remove it from the vehicle.
- Unplug electrical connectors.
- Install the new taillight in reverse order.

Changing the taillight is a simple process that requires only a few basic tools. Instructions on replacing this part on a Mazda 5 are the same for both the driver (left) and passenger (right) sides.
