Procedure

  8. If the housing has a lot of dirt and debris, clean it using an air vacuum.
  9. Line up the new air filter and place it in the housing. Make sure that the air filter is in the proper orientation.Installing the new engine air filter.

  11. Set the clips of the air filter housing by sliding them back to their lock position.
  12. Close the hood and start the engine to ensure proper engine operation.

If the check engine light comes on after replacing the air filter, it is possible that the MAF sensor was accidentally unplugged. Check the connector to the MAF sensor.
