Need to add engine coolant to your Chrysler? This guide provides instructions on how to check the coolant level on a Chrysler Crossfire.
What you will need
Procedure
Locate the hood release underneath the dashboard in your Chrysler Crossfire. Pull the lever until you hear the Chrysler hood pop open. Next, you need to release the hood safety latch at the front of the hood.
- Next, locate the coolant reservoir (tank) on your Chrysler. On a Crossfire, the coolant reservoir is located on the passenger side.
- Look at the coolant reservoir tank and take note of the low and high levels. If the level is below the minimum mark, you will need to add coolant, or your Crossfire may overheat.
- Remove the coolant reservoir cap. Do this slowly, as any residual pressure can cause the cap to blow off. Only remove the cap when the engine has cooled down.
- Add engine coolant/antifreeze. Only add the coolant type recommended by Chrysler.
Applicable to model years 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008.
