How to Remove the Toyota Camry Steering Wheel
What you will need
- Toyota Camry XV50 Steering Wheel
- 19mm Socket Wrench
- Threadlocker
- Marker
Procedure
- Remove the airbag. If you need help with this step, follow the tutorial first.
Let someone hold the steering wheel and loosen the 19mm nut on the steering column using a 19mm socket wrench.
Remove the 19mm bolt by hand.

Draw lines on the steering column and steering wheel to distinguish the center easily when installing the new steering wheel.
Push the clip and pull the connector out to disconnect the steering wheel and cruise control electrical connectors.
Pull the steering wheel out and feed off the cables of the airbag connectors.
Do not twist/turn the clock spring to prevent the vehicle from having traction control issues or other issues caused by the clockspring.
Install the new/replacement steering wheel into the vehicle. 
Line up the marks on the steering wheel and steering column.
Add some thread locker on the nut and install it back into the steering column. Tighten the nut with its proper torque specification.
Reconnect the two electrical connectors on the steering wheel.
